Terms of service

Modern Diamond Brokers

Last updated: October 27, 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service apply to purchases made through the Modern Diamond Brokers online store. Please read them together with our Return, Refund and Cancellation Policy, Shipping Policy, and Privacy Policy before placing an order.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies available to you under applicable consumer protection laws.

2. Order information and payment

Please review your order carefully before submitting your purchase. You are responsible for providing accurate contact information, shipping details, and jewellery specifications, including ring size where applicable.

Product prices and applicable charges are presented during checkout. Please review the order total and selected currency before completing payment.

If you discover an error in your order, contact us promptly at info@moderndiamondbrokers.com. Contacting us does not guarantee that a change can be accommodated, particularly after production has begun.

3. Made-to-order jewellery

Our jewellery—including engagement rings, wedding bands, earrings, and pendants—is made to order.

All made-to-order jewellery purchases are final sale, subject to your rights under applicable law. The CAD drawing and design-review process described below applies only to engagement rings.

4. Engagement rings — CAD drawings and review

For engagement ring orders, you will receive computer-aided design (CAD) drawings within five calendar days of placing your order.

You have five calendar days from receipt of the drawings to approve the design or request adjustments. Please review the drawings and accompanying specifications carefully and raise any questions during this review period.

To approve your design or request adjustments, reply to the message containing your drawings or email info@moderndiamondbrokers.com, quoting your order number.

5. Engagement rings — approval, revisions, and production

Prompt design approval allows us to move your engagement ring into production sooner and helps expedite your order. Once you approve your design, production may begin before the five-day review period ends.

If we do not receive approval or an adjustment request within five calendar days of your receipt of the drawings, we will proceed to production using the CAD drawings provided, without further approval.

If you request adjustments within the review period, we will review your request and communicate the next steps before proceeding to production. When revised drawings are provided, we will specify the deadline for your response. Any proposed adjustment that changes the price will require your agreement before it is implemented.

Once your engagement ring has entered production, no design changes can be made.

6. Production and shipping timelines

Orders typically ship within four to six weeks from the date the order is placed, subject to time spent on design revisions.

For engagement rings, completion takes approximately four weeks on average after design approval. If production proceeds after the five-day review period without a response, this production estimate runs from the start of production.

Design revisions may extend the overall timeframe beyond four to six weeks from the order date. Prompt approval helps keep your order moving forward.

These timeframes are estimates, not guaranteed dispatch or delivery dates. The four-to-six-week estimate refers to when an order ships; shipping transit time is additional. These estimates do not limit your rights under applicable law.

Please refer to our Shipping Policy for further shipping information.

7. Cancellations, returns, and refunds

All made-to-order jewellery purchases are final sale from the time the order is placed.

Except where required by applicable law, we do not accept cancellations, returns, or requests for refunds at any stage of the process, including:

  • Before production begins.
  • During the engagement ring CAD review or revision process.
  • After design approval.
  • After production or shipment.

The opportunity to review an engagement ring design and request adjustments does not create a cancellation or refund period.

This final-sale policy does not limit our warranty obligations or your rights concerning defective, damaged, or incorrect goods under applicable law. Please refer to our Return, Refund and Cancellation Policy for further information.

8. Damaged, defective, or incorrect items

Please inspect your jewellery upon receipt. If it arrives damaged, is defective, or does not match your order specifications, contact info@moderndiamondbrokers.com promptly.

Include your order number or purchase details, a description of the issue, and photographs where possible. We will assess your concern and explain the next steps.

Please contact us before shipping any jewellery back so we can provide instructions.

9. One-year workmanship warranty

Modern Diamond Brokers provides a one-year warranty covering manufacturing defects and defects in workmanship, beginning on the date you receive your jewellery.

For a defect covered by this warranty, we will complete the necessary repair free of charge.

Coverage is subject to assessment of the jewellery to determine whether the issue results from a manufacturing or workmanship defect.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage.
  • Normal wear and tear resulting from regular use.

This warranty is additional to any rights and remedies available under applicable law. Neither these exclusions nor the repair provision limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Complimentary inspections and reporting concerns

We offer complimentary jewellery inspections in store and recommend having your jewellery checked at least once a year.

Annual inspections are recommended to help identify signs of wear or potential concerns. They are not a condition of warranty coverage.

If you notice an issue or have concerns about your jewellery, contact us immediately for guidance. If you suspect damage or a loose setting, stop wearing the piece until it can be assessed.

For warranty assistance, email info@moderndiamondbrokers.com with your purchase details, a description of the concern, and photographs where possible. Please contact us before shipping jewellery to us.

11. Privacy

Our collection, use, and handling of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be published on our website with its updated date.

Changes will apply to orders placed after the revised terms take effect. They will not retrospectively alter the terms applicable to an existing order unless agreed with the customer or required by law.
